The Occupational Health Care Act (1383/2001) (pdf)(avautuu uuteen ikkunaan, siirryt toiseen palveluun) obliges the employer to provide occupational health care to the staff when there are one or more employees, regardless of their working hours or duration of employment.

The employer is legally obliged to provide preventive occupational health services to their employees. Organizing nursing care is voluntary, however. Entrepreneurs can also procure occupational health services for themselves.
