Description

Would you like greater clarity on occupational safety and health and your own role?

This three-day online course provides a clear overview of occupational safety and health and gives you a solid foundation for carrying out your responsibilities and developing safety and well-being at your workplace. The course is suitable for both new and experienced occupational safety and health practitioners.

For HR professionals and supervisors, the course clarifies occupational safety and health responsibilities, duties and cooperation practices. You will gain practical ways to engage personnel and understand who to work with when taking occupational safety and health matters forward.

You will gain the greatest shared benefit when several people from the same workplace participate. We recommend involving the occupational safety and health manager and representative, together with HR professionals or supervisors. Participating as a group clarifies roles and responsibilities, strengthens cooperation and helps put the learning into practice.

The course combines independent online study with three two-hour webinars. The webinars support independent learning and encourage interaction and knowledge-sharing between participants.

Goal

The course supports occupational safety and health cooperation personnel and supervisors by providing basic knowledge on occupational safety and health legislation, workplace cooperation and relevant safety recommendations.

After completing the course, the participant:

  • understands the importance of occupational safety and health as part of developing the workplace’s core operations, productivity and quality

  • recognises and understands the key concepts, purpose and responsibilities of occupational safety and health, together with the relevant legislation

  • understands the importance of a proactive approach in identifying and controlling hazards, harmful exposures and workload factors

  • is better equipped to cooperate with workplace stakeholders to promote safety and well-being

  • is supported in continuously finding and applying relevant information.
